Collection of cigar box Altars

This is a collection of ten altars made of cigar boxes. They are influenced by my attraction to to New Mexican tin work and Mexican home altars. Both New Mexican tin work and Mexican home altars are an individual's reaction to the divine. Both of these forms of devotion use materials and objects from around the artist's homes and surroundings. The Mexican home altars especially seem to be a spontaneous flow of communication about or to a heavenly experience or being. These pieces reflect my years of faith growth in an eclectic fashion. OR MAYBE, they are a prayer that my son would stop smoking cigars! The altars are available for display. They will be for sale then or after displays.
